A few facts from our history:

The company was established in 1961 being a veneer, plywood and chipboard producer supplying the furniture factories from the surrounding area.
* 1985 - was added a matches factory and solid furniture plant.
* 1993 - were made investments in the veneer section to produce layer-glued furniture.
* 1999 - the factory was privatized.
With new capital and a technology always updated and upgraded, having a forward thinker team Sortilemn succeeded step by step to make a successful brand through the wood processing enterprises both from Romania and also from European countries.

Social and economic impact
Sortilemn has a social impact by creating working places, from 739 workers in 2000 to 900 in 2012. A helping hand was also given to the small producers which were in a critical situation by giving them orders, resulting a good cooperation. This is due to its growing on the foreign market, 99% from our products going to export.
Among our customers we can name Ikea, Stokke, Holsag, Varier Furniture, ForaForm, Artilux, Kettler and others.
Sortilemn has also an economic impact succeeding during these years to remain among the Romanian wood processing enterprises. Its turnover has been improved year by year from 3 million EURO in 1999, before privatization, to 35 million eur in 2011.
