Welcome to Tara Nomada! We found one of the most beautiful places in South East Europe. Since September 2015 we live here and we're building our old barn into a hostel (6 pers) and apartment (2-4 pers). We also have a campsite with about 8 places. Tara Nomada is located in a beautiful valley in the Apuseni Mountains. Time stood still here. People live here for generations of small-scale agriculture and livestock plays an important role. Oxen and horses pulling carts and work the land and the cows and goats are grazing the mountains. From Tara Nomada you can make endless walks on the beautiful mountains or in one of the imposing gorges. The area is also popular with mountainbikers and there is winter skiing. There are several nearby attractions including ancient monasteries, caves and salt mines. But in the first place this is the place where you can unwind with ease and become one with nature.
