Amsoil Inc was founded by a jet fighter pilot that saw an opportunity to use as motor oil the same ester base stock used to lubricate jet engines. In 1972, AMZOIL 10W-40 grade 100% synthetic (diester based) motor oil became the first API approved synthetic motor oil. Amsoil produces the world's longest drain motor oils combined with their full synthetic media filters and fully backed up by their warranty.

Red Line Oil Corporation was originally founded to produce the best racing motor oils. To this day they blend both their street and racing motor oils with the most expensive base stock available: polyol-esters. These are trully single tier high end products designed for high performance engines. They are a bargain for the quality they offer. Esters and polyalphaolefins make a good match.
